How to Take a Template Photo for Your Custom Fit Frame Bag

In short, a template photo is a photo of your bike with a ruler attached, from this we make a digital pattern, and from this pattern we make your perfectly fitting Custom Fit Frame Bag in our London workshop.

To get the fit right the photo needs to be as accurate as possible, mainly this means no obstructions and no distortions. Some important things to remember is that the bike is upright and parallel to the wall, and the photo is taken directly front on and level with your bike.

• Tape a ruler to your bike
• You can attach the ruler anywhere on the frame triangle as long as it’s clear
• Make sure at least 20cm or 10” is clearly visible
• Make sure the ruler doesn’t obscure the inside corners of your frame
• For partial frame bags leave your water bottles in

• Open your camera and select the highest resolution
• Stand far enough away from your bike that you can get your whole bike into the frame, about 4 – 5 meters
• Crouch down to be level and directly front on with your bike
• Zoom in slightly to avoid distortion
• Take your photo!

Before uploading make sure:

• The resolution is over 2MB
• The scale of the ruler is visible
• The inside corners of the frame are not obstructed
• The photo is front on and not distorted – you can do this by checking if both wheels are the same size and the fork blades and seat stays are almost hidden behind each other

• If it’s not quite right we might ask you to take the photo again, we want to your bag to fit as perfectly as possible so it’s important that it’s accurate
